Big Shot

I was really disappointed earlier this week to find that my computer's not working properly. It's been lagging in its operations (such as typing) and worse, my DVDs appear jerky whenever I play them. I have been looking forward to watch Michael Moore's Bowling For Columbine DVD and now it looks like I will have to wait a bit longer.

The past couple of days I have been thinking about how it would feel to be shot by a gun. I'm not entirely sure why this thought came about, but I reckoned it had something to do with the movie (or the disappointment at not being able to watch it). I've never been fond of guns and have always felt fortunate living in countries (Malaysia and Australia) where gun culture was not prevalent.

It came as a bit of a shock yesterday when I found out a man had been shot at a street only 200 metres from where I lived. A man in his 70s was arrested at his home in nearby Pleasant St in connection with the shooting which was apparently triggered by loud music coming from the shot man's house.
